About OCWLAOCWLA's Mission StatementThe purpose of this organization shall be to further the knowledge of the members in the practice of law and to stimulate the interest of law students in the practice of law, and provide a network for facilitating change for the betterment of women within the legal system. We strive to provide informative and entertaining guest speakers at each luncheon meeting. In addition, our meetings often qualify for a variety of MCLE credits. HistoryOrange County Women Lawyers Association has been in existence for over twenty years and is affiliated with California Women Lawyers and the Orange County Bar Association. OCWLA has played an active role in evaluation of candidates for the judiciary and maintaining the integrity and diversity of the judicial system.
Over the years, OCWLA has had a regular seat on the Orange County Bar Association Board and is still striving to keep the bar diverse in its members and its viewpoints. Perhaps best of all, OCWLA is a wonderful opportunity for lawyers to meet other lawyers with diverse, as well as similar backgrounds, to network and help each other maintain integrity and competence in an ever changing profession.
