Come join us for a roundtable-style talk about the nuts and bolts of maintaining your practice while taking maternity leave and raising children. We will discuss the impact this major life change at small, mid-sized and large firms, and provide you with a checklist designed to ensure a smooth transition, no matter your situation. The discussion will be led by Lynne Boisineau a Partner at a major law firm with 20 years of experience in the legal field with children (one of which was born during law school)!

Lynne Boisineau, Partner    

Lynne Boisineau is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Orange County office.  As head of the Firm's Orange County trademark prosecution practice, she focuses her practice on trademark prosecution, counseling, enforcement and licensing, as well as providing trademark litigation support.   Lynne assists clients with all stages of securing trademark protection with an emphasis on the selection and enforcement of trademarks domestically and internationally.  In addition, she works closely with clients in formulating worldwide trademark protection and registration strategies.  Lynne has extensive experience in managing large U.S. and international trademark portfolios, and has been involved in Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) proceedings (oppositions, cancellations, ex parte appeals), litigation and litigation support for cases involving trademarks and copyrights, and matters involving the protection, registration and enforcement of copyrights.  She has represented numerous clients in matters before the TTAB.

Lynne is the Firm’s registered Trademark Agent for the Trademark Clearinghouse –the most important rights protection mechanism established by ICANN in relation to the launch of the new generic top level domain name program (the gTLDs), and she has significant experience in domain name proceedings under the Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) and the Uniform Rapid Suspension (URS) System. Lynne authors publications and speaks on topics of interest to the IP community. Her article “The Right of Publicity and the Social Media Revolution” was chosen for reprint in the ABA’s GPSOLO Magazine “best of” issue. Lynne was ranked in the World Trademark Review 1000: The World's Leading Trademark Professionals in 2014 and 2015.   Lynne is a member of the California State Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for all of the Districts of California.  She is also a member of the International Trademark Association.
