Join OCWLA and Mommy Esquire for Equal Pay Day 2020! National Equal Pay Day is on March 31st 2020, a date that symbolizes how far into the year women must work to earn what men earned in the previous year. Our panelists will discuss pay disparities in a variety of legal settings including government positions, large and small law firms, corporate legal departments, and alternative ways to practice law such as freelance lawyering. They will also provide five concrete tips on how a woman can best position herself to obtain a pay raise and/or a promotion, and will facilitate table discussions on how women can support other women in the process. Wear RED on Equal Pay Day to symbolize how far women and minorities are “in the red” with their pay!

The color of red signifies the deficit women are paid. The date of March 31st (Equal Pay Day) is the date women would have to work until to get the same pay as their male counterparts did for the previous calendar year.
*Note: No registration refunds are available within 72 hours of OCWLA events; however, an event ticket may be transferred to another individual for the same event as originally purchased. Late RSVPs are subject to a $5. fee.
